BUILDING OUR NEW FACILITY
Right now, we can only save the dogs somebody has already chosen.
We pull dogs off shelter euthanasia lists for adopters who have committed to them. It works — but without a facility of our own, a dog only lives if the right person finds their post and reaches out in time. We're raising $125,000 to build a place that changes that.

We are not boarding at the moment. Our previous facility is no longer available, and boarding for the dogs of active-duty military members resumes when the new kennel opens. Adoptions are continuing as normal — to all 50 states and Canada.
How we save dogs
An adopter first. Then the pull.
Most rescues take a dog in and hope someone comes. We work the other way round, because right now we have to — and it means every dog we pull has somewhere to go.
1
A dog is networked
A shelter puts a dog on its euthanasia list. Their photo and deadline circulate — that post is how almost everyone finds us.
2
Someone commits
An adopter comes forward for that specific dog and is approved. Nothing moves until a real home is confirmed.
3
We pull them out
We cover the pull, the vetting, and the logistics of getting them from a shelter kennel to their person.
Why we're fundraising
The dogs we have to say no to
“Without kennels, a dog on the list only lives if the right person happens to see their post before the deadline. With kennels, we can pull first and find the family after.”
That's the whole difference. A facility isn't a nice-to-have for us — it's the thing standing between a dog with a deadline and a dog with time. It also restores boarding for deployed military families, which is what this organization was founded to do.

The Kennel Project
Every dollar goes toward one thing right now.
Building and equipping a climate-controlled kennel facility on a property of our own — $125,000 in all. The property itself is financed separately, so 100% of what you give goes into the facility: kennels for the dogs we pull, and boarding for the military families we were founded to serve. We are a 501(c)(3) — every gift is tax-deductible.

From adopters
Layla · Los Angeles to Vermont
“The entire process from start to finish was so smooth from the moment she dropped everything to save her before her deadline. Dawn is amazing, we got so many updates with Layla pictures and videos over the weeks waiting until transport… If you're considering pulling a dog from a high kill shelter, do it!! It was the BEST decision of our life!”
— Kaitlyn
Pulled from San Bernardino, transported home
“She responded immediately, even while she was on site rescuing a cat. Within minutes she had the paperwork filled out and pulled my girl to safety… Even though I couldn't be there in person, Dawn was with me every step of the way. She sent me videos and updates of her playing at the rescue, and it meant everything to me.”
— Kristin
Paw Paw, a Heeler · Los Angeles to Oregon
“I said give me a second, and texted 3 words to Dawn, "Save Paw Paw"… Dawn jumped into action, we were just in time… I picked Paw Paw up, in Brooks, Oregon May 11th. It was seamless, perfect, it could not have gone better… Paw Paw is a Dream, Best Girl I could have asked for, my 2nd Heart Dog. I would have lost her, without Dawn.”
